Hyundai's amazing INITIUM concept model - see it live at the Poznań Motor Show!
The star of Hyundai Motor Poland's stand at this year's Poznań Motor Show will be the futuristic, hydrogen-powered concept SUV - INITIUM. Standing next to it will be the IONIQ 5 N Line - one of the first examples to undergo a deep facelift that also includes an enlargement of the traction battery. What else awaits spectators in exhibition hall 5?

The world premiere of the INITIUM model took place last October in Seoul. This futuristic-looking SUV is powered by hydrogen fuel cells and is a precursor to the series-produced, also hydrogen-powered NEXO model. We are, of course, talking about the latest-generation NEXO, which completely breaks stylistically with its predecessor.
This unique fuel cell-powered concept SUV also marks the debut of Hyundai Motor's new design language - called ‘Art of Steel’ - embodying the character of HTWO, a Hyundai Motor Group business brand dedicated to the hydrogen value chain.

What is Hyundai's new ‘Art of Steel’ design language?
The iconic styling of the INITIUM model integrates the HTWO symbol, representing Hyundai Motor's vision of a hydrogen-powered future. Graphics inspired by the ‘+’ as part of the INITIUM's light signature merge with the bumper to create a distinctive FCEV-specific design element, characterised by unique lighting, solid blocks and refined elegance.
The distinct SUV-like aesthetic of the INITIUM model seamlessly integrates the functionality of city life with the opportunity for outdoor adventures through bold lines and robust construction, balancing ruggedness and sophistication.

INITIUM enhances the performance, comfort and safety of FCEVs
The development of the INITIUM model focused on three main aspects: longer range and increased efficiency, which are key advantages of hydrogen cars; spacious interior and luggage space, making them ideal for families; and unique comfort and safety features specific to hydrogen cars.
One of the greatest benefits of FCEVs is the impressive range and flexibility they provide. Hyundai Motor has equipped the INITIUM prototype with large hydrogen fuel tanks to maximise the vehicle's range, extending the benefits of hydrogen vehicles.
Hyundai Motor has also fitted the INITIUM with aerodynamic wheel rims to reduce drag, which have been combined with low rolling resistance tyres to provide a driving range of more than 650km between refuelling.
In terms of performance, the INITIUM offers excellent acceleration and delivers smooth overtaking. With further development of Hyundai's fuel cell technology, the company has increased the power stack and increased the battery capacity, allowing the electric motor to achieve 150 kW of power. This provides drivers with a sense of smooth driving in urban areas and at higher speeds on motorways.

In addition, the hydrogen cell of the INITIUM model provides emission-free electricity. Using the prototype's features, the electricity can be used to power and charge a variety of household and personal devices via Vehicle-to-Load (V2L). It is worth noting that the external terminal has been designed to connect directly to a 220-volt household socket, transforming the INITIUM from a means of transport into a potential energy supplier.
See you in Poznań from 24 - 27 April in Hall 5!
