Share

The name Hongqi (read Hon-szi), which means ‘red flag’ in Chinese, symbolises tradition and prestige, and its history dates back to 1958, when the brand's first model was built. Initially, Hongqi cars were exclusively for top government officials, representing a symbol of luxury and status in China.

The brand is owned by the state-owned FAW Group, one of the leading players in the Chinese automotive market. At the Poznań Motor Show we will see:

  • Hongqi HS3: A spacious SUV with a length of 4.65 m. In the first phase of sales, the HS3 will be available with a 1.5L petrol engine and a seven-speed DCT transmission. A version with a 2.0L petrol engine and AWD is also planned for later this year.
  • Hongqi HS5: D-Class SUV, equipped with a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine and Aisin 8-speed gearbox and all-wheel drive. Measuring 4.76m in length, the model was designed by Italian styling agency Italdesign and is distinguished by its classic body and spacious cabin.
  • Hongqi H5: The 4.99m-long classic sedan features a modern multimedia system with a large screen and digital cockpit. The H5 will be available with two engine units - 1.5L and 2.0L.
  • Hongqi H6: Liftback with the dynamic silhouette of a sports sedan, based on the same platform as the H5. Its character is underlined by, among other things, a powerful 2.0L 245-horsepower power unit, elegant trim and a large central vertical screen.
  • Hongqi H9: The brand's flagship limousine in Poland, measuring 5.14m and up against flagship models from German manufacturers. It will be available initially with a two-litre engine with a hybrid system, with a V6 forked unit also available at a later stage. The interior offers luxury trim, active noise cancellation, air suspension and advanced multimedia systems.

The planned start of sales on the Polish market will be at the end of the second quarter of 2025!
