Another premiere at Poznań Motor Show! Successor to the BAIC BJ20 model coming soon to Poland.

The BAIC brand in Poznań will present the second generation of the well-known model: BJ30, which made its debut at the Beijing Motor Show in April 2024. The launch of the BJ30 in Poland aims to expand BAIC's offering in the mid-size SUV segment, offering customers a modern and versatile vehicle with attractive technical features.

The BAIC BJ30 is a five-seat D-segment SUV, equipped with a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, mated to two electric motors. The powertrain's combined output is 280 hp and torque reaches 685 Nm. The vehicle has a 2-DHT automatic transmission and 4×4 drive, allowing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds.

Three engines, numerous advantages

The high-tech hybrid system will perform well in any travel scenario. At the heart of the BAIC BJ30e is a 1.5-litre A156T2H-H1 petrol engine working together with two efficient electric units. The refined hybrid technology serves to increase the car's efficiency and flexibility, improve driving comfort, reduce running costs and minimise CO2 emissions.

BAIC engineers draw on a wealth of nearly 70 years of experience in building truly off-road vehicles, but at the same time they have a keen understanding of the challenges and needs of the modern age to create a series of innovative models. An outstanding example is the BAIC BJ30e, which features advanced electronically controlled four-wheel drive.

Support in all situations

Depending on the road situation, we have the option of virtually continuous torque distribution to the front and rear axles at a ratio of: 100% to the front axle or with a 50% to 50% split between the front and rear axles.

In a split second

One advantage of the electronic drive control is the ability to switch instantly between two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. This process takes just 0.03 seconds, is smooth and completely imperceptible to the driver and passengers.

Safe and stable

The BJ30e has virtually no lag in the transmission of torque to the wheels, typical of traditional 4x4 drivetrains, where it is transmitted through heavy mechanisms in the form of gearboxes and driveshafts. The advanced, electronically controlled 4x4 drive significantly enhances driving safety, improves traction and handling confidence and stability in corners, especially when driving on slippery or loose surfaces.

Terrain heritage

The off-road capabilities of the BJ30e are not only evidenced by the standard four-wheel drive. The ground clearance of the BJ30e model at full load is as high as 215 mm and the maximum wading depth reaches 450 mm. When driving off-road, the expected approach, ramp and departure angles of 25°, 21° and 30° respectively can provide support.

The car body is protected from mechanical damage by scratch-resistant plastic on the sills and wheel arches. An unusual detail is the positioning of the position lamps on the wheel arches.

The BJ30e is ready for any travel scenario. Thanks to the intelligent ATS (All-terrain system), there are special modes to improve driving in snow, mud, sand and a mode unique in the segment for traversing water obstacles. The BJ30e uses a powerful electronic control system to select the appropriate mode.
