A recap of the icon's historic return at Poznań Motor Show 2025
The latest edition of the Poznań Motor Show will long be remembered by automotive fans, thanks to one of the most electrifying premieres in recent years. The stand of local dealer Renault Karlik became the stage for the Polish debut of the all-electric Renault 5. This event, the culmination of the "Renaulution" strategy, drew massive crowds and proved that a legend can be reborn, winning the hearts of a new generation of drivers.
For four days, the eyes of nearly all visitors were fixed on one spot – the star of the Renault stand. The modern reinterpretation of the cult classic, the Renault 5 E-Tech electric, generated immense interest, becoming the undisputed hit of the Poznań event. The enthusiastic reactions from the public and the media confirmed that this was a car people were truly waiting for.

An icon reborn
The Renault 5 E-Tech electric is a statement of style, backed by solid technology. Built on the entirely new Ampere platform (AmpR Small), the car is compact (3.92 m long), agile (a 10.3 m turning circle), and surprisingly practical, offering a boot capacity of 326 liters.
During the premiere, it was confirmed that the car will be available in two battery versions:
- 52 kWh, offering a range of up to 410 km (WLTP), with a 150 hp motor.
- 40 kWh, providing a range of up to 300 km (WLTP), with a 120 hp motor.
Crucially, the 150 hp Renault 5 E-Tech will be able to tow a trailer of up to 500 kg. Fast DC charging at up to 100 kW will allow the battery to be charged from 15% to 80% in about 30 minutes.
As announced, pricing is set to be competitive, starting from around €25,000 in Europe. Although the official Polish price list will be released closer to the market launch, this news has already whetted appetites and become a hot topic of discussion.
The voice of experts and journalists
Representatives of the automotive media present at the show were generous with their praise. Numerous reports and videos highlighted the successful blend of retro styling with modern technology.
Journalists from the tech portal "Antyweb" noted: "The Renault 5 is a car that brings a smile to your face. Fantastic references to the original, like the '5' shaped battery charge indicator on the bonnet or the vertical rear lights, are design touches that make it stand out from the crowd."
Meanwhile, in video analyses, such as those on the "Auto Świat" channel, experts praised the model's market potential: "If Renault maintains the announced price point, the R5 has the chance to become the first 'electric car for the people' of the new generation. It has everything needed for urban success: great looks, adequate range, and modern technology like the OpenR Link system with Google built-in."

A strong showcase of the entire Renault lineup
The Polish premiere of the Renault 5 was the main, but not the only, attraction. The Renault Karlik stand impressed with a full range of new models, showcasing the strength and versatility of the brand's current lineup. Other models that drew significant interest included:
- Renault Rafale: The flagship, dynamic SUV coupé with a 200 hp E-Tech full hybrid powertrain, which drew attention with its elegant lines and sporty character.
- Renault Scenic E-Tech electric: The winner of the prestigious Car of the Year 2024 award, presented as a benchmark for spaciousness and eco-responsibility in the family segment.
- Renault Symbioz: The newest compact SUV in the range, which debuted just before the show, offering comfort and modularity in a 4.41 m long body.
- Renault Trafic Camper: An option for 'van life' enthusiasts, demonstrating how functionality and comfort can go hand-in-hand with the spirit of adventure.
A successful show, a promising future
